2020 Taipei AMPA 3-in-1 Series Show Drives into Japan, Korea

TAIPEI --( ASIA TODAY )-- Seeing a potential opening to the Japanese and Korean auto market amid recent tensions in the Japan-Korea relations, TAITRA headed to these two nations to promote the upcoming 2020 Taipei AMPA 3-in-1 trade show. Over 100 corporate representatives and media members attended the three seminars, garnering interest from one of the world’s largest automobile markets.

As one of the top car manufacturers in the world, Japan has been the head of Asia’s automobile industry for many years, and one of the top buyer nations at past Taipei AMPA shows. Over 60 Japanese companies attended the Japanese leg of the promotional seminar in Osaka and Fukuoka, including the media from major Japanese publications such as the Nikan Daily Automotive News and The Nihon Butsuryu Shinbun. Of particular interest was Trans Electric Company’s GPS system and other automobile electronic products, to which all in attendance were looking forward to seeing in 2020.

While the Korean automotive market hasn’t been as active in recent past, car ownership has remained steady, increasing the need for aftermarket services. The Korean leg attracted over 20 corporate representatives to KINTEX, with many Korean corporations exploring the possibility of working with Taiwanese companies to amidst the ongoing Japan-Korea tensions. During the seminar, representatives also expressed an interest in the car batteries, and some have mentioned the possibility of ordering dashboards, auto parts and maintenance products at next year’s Taipei AMPA.

Taipei AMPA, AutoTronics Taipei, and Motorcycle Taiwan make up the Taipei AMPA 3-in-1 trade show, and will take place next April 15 to 18 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 1 and Hall 2. The trade show is expected to be larger than the 2019 edition, with more than 1450 exhibitors attending.
