Emirates Derma 2017 opens in Abu Dhabi today

Abu Dhabi --( ASIA TODAY )-- United Arab Emirates, 2 November, 2017: The 1st edition of Emirates Academy of Dermatology, Aesthetics and Laser Conference & Exhibition, started today in Abu Dhabi with the participation of 300 delegates and specialists in the field of dermatology and laser.

Following the ribbon-cutting and official opening ceremony, Dr. Abdel Wahab Al Fouzan, President of the Pan Arab League of Dermatology, Prof. Yoshiki Miyachi, President of Asian Dermatological Association, and a number of key figures, leading skin specialists and top-notch speakers from the UAE and abroad toured the exhibition area, where they were briefed about the local and international skin care brands and latest advances in skin treatments displayed by exhibiting companies.

Commenting about the 1st edition of Emirates Derma, Dr. Hassan Galadari, Conference Chairman, said, “Emirates Derma is a first of its kind event in the capital Abu Dhabi, which is home to many institutions that regard health as a top priority and hosts many world class medical conferences, none so unique as this in the field of dermatology. The conference is hoping to shed more light on the latest advances in cosmetic dermatology, plastic surgery, facial aesthetics and anti-aging. The medical congress will host internationally renowned speakers, who are leaders in their own field and will share their unique practical experiences in the field of dermatology.”

From his side, Eng. During the 3-day Emirates Derma conference and exhibition in Abu Dhabi, 47 world-renowned dermatologists and specialists in skin treatment from the region and abroad, will conduct 70 scientific sessions including live workshops and lectures and educate participants on various key aspects of skincare including Vitamin D Sunscreen and Melasma and Professional Errors in Laser Dermatology.

Among a number of key topics being discussed on the first day of the Emirates Derma conference, leading skin specialists and doctors from the UAE, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea, Egypt and India will conduct scientific sessions, provide overviews and study clinic based scenarios about ‘Why Atopic patients do not stop scratching, Biologics for Psoriasis – A relook at the Asian perspective, Phototherapy and future development of Dermatology and Prevention of hair loss to name a few.

While commenting on his participation in Emirates Derma, Dr. Andre Mattos, Plastic Surgeon from Brazil, says “During the first edition of Emirates Derma, various topics in Plastic Surgery are being discussed including Jawline contouring with dermal fillers and Hands rejuvenation using dermal fillers. My speech will also deal with important topics in the field of Plastic Surgery such as Face Lift, Fillers and Fat Grafting.”
