A total of 89 exhibitors are showcasing their energy technologies at the Africa Energy Indaba currently taking place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. The three-day annual energy conference which kicked off yesterday February 21 will end on Thursday February 23, 2012.
Energy technologies that are currently on show are from Germany, China, Taiwan, South Africa and other parts of the world. These include an electric caddy, scooter and bike by iGreens. Accurate and affordable quality meters, boilers and energy efficient tubes as well as street, ceiling and reflector lamps.
Other interesting exhibitors showcasing their technologies at the Africa Energy Indaba include Himin Group –the world’s largest manufacturing base of solar thermal products. The group was the first solar enterprise to be introduced to the world at the 14th UN Forum on Sustainable Development.
Business Connexion – an Eskom approved Energy Services Company (ESCO) with an integrated industrial solutions division – is also present at the exhibition eager to share their expertise of providing tailored solutions to optimise your energy assets. Their end-to-end energy efficiency solutions include energy audits and assessments, project financing and Eskom funding applications, supply, installation and commissioning of technology, maintenance and measurement of projects.
Liaoning Yi.Solar Energy Technology is a high-tech enterprise specialising in solar panels, off-grid or on-grid PV systems as well as product solutions for clients. Yi.Solar owns a professional research team and expert technicians made up of senior engineers.
A 49M stand can also be seen at the exhibition. This is an initiative that encourages South Africans from all walks of life to band together and save electricity. The initiative aims to bring all South Africans together with the common goal of saving electricity.
The German Pavilion has also been mounted at the exhibition displaying innovative renewable energy technologies. As one of the leading industrial and trading countries, Germany uses the opportunity of fairs and exhibitions in Germany and abroad to meet its commitments as an international economic trading partner. Here German experts are available to advise visitors on export and import possibilities.
If you’d like to visit the exhibition make your way there on Wednesday from 09:30-17:00 and on Thursday from 09:30-16:00. There is no charge; visitors need only register at the door.
The exhibition is open to members of the public, energy entrepreneurs and other energy stakeholders looking for new business opportunities as well as consumers looking to buy energy saving products for their homes or businesses.
Networking opportunities are also possible as many of the exhibitors are looking for local agents to help market their products.
