Strategically placed within four hours travelling distance of some of the largest markets for global textiles production, INDEX textiles will showcase the latest collections and developments across Textiles, Soft Furnishings, Wall Coverings, Window Coverings, Rugs and Manufacturing.
Rebecca Lockwood, INDEX textiles Project Manager explains. “ I am thrilled to be working on the only show in the MENA region that offers our serious audience of design professionals the opportunity to immerse themselves in the eclectic world of textiles. The global textiles market experienced an estimated growth from $8.6 billion to $23 billion in 2010. It is clear that this crucial area of any design project, large of small, needed a platform in this bustling region. Coupled with the fact that over 7,400 of INDEX’s visitors came to specifically source textiles solutions, we were compelled to launch this exciting show.”
A platform for designers, specifiers, contractors, hoteliers, and the end user to come and submerge themselves in textiles solutions, which form one of the most creative and important function to any project, be it a hotel refurbishment down to a bespoke private project.
In addition to a mix of brands such as Trevi Furniture who will showcase Wardé Fabrics, and Avenue Home who are both confirmed participants at the show, INDEX textiles is also launching an exclusive platform for the éditeurs. Rebecca continues “ In my discussions with the éditeurs and premium brands they communicated the same, they were desperate for an exclusive creative platform for them to showcase their beautiful designer collections. Sadly this has never been addressed at a trade show in this region before. In response to this, I am delighted to announce the launch of ‘Les Collections Exclusives’ fashion show on the show floor at this year’s INDEX textiles. Working with local fashion design talent, ‘Les Collections Exclusives’ will bring to life the premium brands through abstract couture creations designed exclusively for the event, using the textiles from the participating brands. “
