Tokyo, February 16, 2012 – NEC Corporation (NEC; TSE: 6701) today announced several additions to the All-Outdoor products of its market leading iPASOLINK solutions portfolio. Supporting economical and fast rollouts of LTE networks, the range of All-Outdoor products extends packet microwave connectivity at the edge of the transport network.
All-Outdoor designs significantly reduce physical equipment footprints, speed up network deployment and reduce operational and maintenance costs. NEC equipment in the All-Outdoor range is compact and robust, easy to install and maintain and low in power consumption. All-Outdoor radios deliver scalable high capacity that can surpass 1Gbps in a single channel*1. High-end radio performance is complemented by comprehensive packet networking features either in a standalone configuration or by interworking with existing iPASOLINK network elements at aggregation sites. NEC’s All-Outdoor product range includes:
• New iPASOLINK AX for microwave link deployments in frequencies of 6-38GHz;
• New iPASOLINK SX utilizes 60GHz radio spectrum for Small Cell Backhaul;
• Enhanced ePASOLINK*2 for E-band transmission in 70-80GHz; and
• New iPASOLINK GX compact outdoor router for a uniquely flexible approach to all-IP networking near to or collocated with the Radio Access Network (RAN).
A common Network Management System (NMS), shared across NEC’s Microwave, Optical and Packet Transport solutions, adds further benefits with capabilities for the end-to-end service provisioning and maintenance.

The iPASOLINK is the latest generation of renowned PASOLINK products. Since the launch of PASOLINK in the early 1980s, mobile and fixed communications have rapidly expanded and PASOLINK has been widely adopted as a microwave radio system for transport networks, with shipments of approximately 1.8 million units throughout 147 countries*3.
NEC will exhibit All-Outdoor products at its stand 8A125, Hall 8 at Mobile World Congress 2012, the largest event of the mobile industry held in Barcelona, Spain, from February 27-March 1, 2012.
