PCHi 2018: High Satisfaction All Around
May 30, 2018

Beijing, 30 May 2018 — Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions (RSE) is pleased to share that both attendees and exhibitors were highly satisfied with the 2018 edition of Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi), China’s choice sourcing platform for the global personal care industry.

In its 2018 Post-Show Report, RSE revealed that nine out of ten exhibitors were satisfied with their experience as a whole at this year’s show. Visitors shared similar sentiments with 92.1% indicating overall satisfaction with their PCHi 2018 experience. Of the attendees surveyed, 75% were key decision makers and purchasing managers, who recognized PCHi as a choice platform to gather industry trends, and to source for and purchase new products.

A testament to the strong pull of PCHi, close to 500 companies from 23 countries and regions have already confirmed their participation in the 2019 edition of PCHi, totaling 90% of the space available.

Peter LIU, PCHi Project Manager, shared, “The industry’s strong support for PCHi year after year spurs us to continue to deliver a professional trade event with quality content. Through the variety of platforms provided at PCHi, we hope to facilitate the forging of effective partnerships between suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors, as well as offer opportunities for knowledge exchange and professional development.”

Navigating the Future: PCHi Secret, PCHi Spirit, PCHi Power

Technological, environmental, and economic changes around the world in recent years have made the beauty and personal care industry a more complex and competitive one. For PCHi, staying true to its roots and core values have helped the event maintain its position as China’s choice sourcing platform for the global personal care industry.

LIU added, “Balancing the way we respond to these changes with how we stay rooted to our core beliefs can help us to better navigate the complex environment our industry faces today, and provide a sustainable platform which is also innovative and relevant. It is crucial for us to be nimble and adapt to the changes, especially the changing trends, in order to put together a quality trade show.”

To this end, RSE prominently communicated three key factors, ungirded by core values like innovation and technology that guide them as they look to propel PCHi to greater heights.

PCHi Secret underlines the secret of PCHi’s success and growth since its inception — the latest cutting-edge products and technologies that inspire and spur the industry to continue its endeavors to create and innovate. Characteristic platforms for these include the New Technology Sessions and New Product Showcase, where trend-setting products and technologies are presented.

PCHi Spirit highlights the spirit of innovation and the quest for excellence and quality, which PCHi desires to imbue in its attendees. The industry-acclaimed PCHi Fountain Awards celebrates innovation-led developments, and seeks to be a catalyst for more sophisticated and creative offerings in the industry.

PCHi Power refers to the power of PCHi, supported by a panel of authoritative industry experts who share their combined wealth of knowledge and expertise with the industry at PCHi. This makes PCHi the choice platform not only for sourcing, but also for knowledge exchange. Solid content delivered by a prolific panel of speakers at the PCHi Conference is a vital part of the event’s power-packed offering at each edition.

In order to accurately meet the unique needs and business objectives of industry visitors, PCHi works closely with a panel of experts from its Cosmetics Science & Technology Innovation Committee (CSTIC), who provide authoritative insights on industry developments.

Mr. LI Huiliang, Chairman of PCHi’s CSTIC, explained, “Our committee has brought together dozens of the industry’s best experts, scholars, and professors in the varied fields of the personal care and cosmetics industry. As one of the country’s most established professional support platforms for the industry, whether in terms of membership strength, scientific standards, or organizational ability, the CSTIC helps to ensure that PCHi continues to offer platforms for innovation and sterling technical content for visitors.”

This August, with the support of the CSTIC, RSE presents its second edition of the PCHi Technology Summit which will offer trade professionals a specialized platform for key discussions on the latest technologies and market trends. The summit, which will be held in Guangzhou, China, also seeks to promote closer collaborations within the industry. More details on the PCHi Technology Summit will be revealed at a later date.

The 2019 edition of PCHi will also be held in Guangzhou from 26 to 28 February 2019, at the Guangzhou Poly World Trade Center.
