17 April 2019, Hong Kong --( ASIA TODAY )-- ProWine Asia, the fast-growing wines and spirits trade fair under the world’s leading show, ProWein, returns to Hong Kong from 7-10 May alongside HOFEX, Asia’s Leading Food & Hospitality Tradeshow. Held across 7,000m2 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), visitors will be able to source from thousands of world-class wines and spirits from every continent as well as gather information on the latest industry trends – from whisky to special region vintages. Seen as the gateway to coveted Southeast Asia, the four-day event also provides an essential platform for international exhibitors looking to expand in the booming region. After its hugely successful Hong Kong debut in 2017, this year’s show is set for an even more impressive return with over 300 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions.

Located in Hall 3 F&G, ProWine Asia @ HOFEX is a must-visit show for wine and spirits importers, producers, retailers, distributors and buyers, sommeliers, bartenders, investors and other trade professionals looking to view, taste and source the hottest products and keep up to date with the latest industry innovations.

From discovering wines from China to Chile to sourcing the latest and best-selling champagne, single-malt whiskey, cocktails and ciders, visitors to the show will be able to meet suppliers from an array of countries including the 13 group pavilions covering Hungary, Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, USA and more. Standout products include E. McDougall & Co. Cabernets 2017 – a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec, providing the palate with a silky tannin profile laced with luscious blackcurrant and set to mature to excellence over the next 12-15 years. In the world of spirits, not to miss is the Glen Moray 12-year-old Single Malt Whiskey, aged in the finest American oak and marrying summer fruits and mellow vanilla, finishing with a subtle sweetness.

Following the success of its Düsseldorf, Shanghai and Singapore versions, the Champagne Lounge was unveiled for the first time at ProWine Asia Hong Kong 2017. First and fore most a venue for business, the Champagne Lounge is highlighting the expertise of champagne houses and winemakers in a setting that is matching the image of excellence and art de vivre of the appellation.

Wine Forum returns with tastings, masterclasses and more
The show’s diverse event schedule is designed to excite and educate, shining a light on hot industry topics including organic wines, sustainability and fair trade. The esteemed Wine Forum will feature a series of presentations and masterclasses from recognised Master of Wine, Master of Sommelier and leading practitioners including Debra Meiburg MW, Jennifer Docherty MW, Darius Allyn MS, Lu Yang MS and Sarah Heller MW.
