SPRINT Robotics set to wow with StocExpo’s new Innovation Trail
Nov 20, 2021

Inspection and maintenance robotics will be the focus of the Innovation Trail at StocExpo, the largest and longest running international bulk liquid storage event, when it returns 8-10 March 2022 at the Rotterdam Ahoy.

Delegates will have the chance to see and interact with very latest innovations in robotic technology on StocExpo 2022’s Innovation Trail, which is being hosted by SPRINT Robotics. It will feature a selection of the world’s leading robotics players driving innovation and real-world deployment.

The SPRINT Robotics Collaborative, which is a global cross-sector organisation that promotes the development, availability and application of inspection and maintenance robotics around the world, will also be hosting a networking breakfast on the second day of the show so that delegates get the chance to meet with the pioneers behind these innovations.

Niels Westendorp, General Manager of SPRINT Robotics, says, “We are delighted to showcase, in collaboration with our SPRINT Robotics community members, a variety of robotic solutions for Inspection, Maintenance & Cleaning for the asset group storage tanks. Only with (cross-)industry wide collaboration of all stakeholders, can we further accelerate innovation and global scaling of robotic solutions to gain safety, efficiency and high value data.”

Rikki Bhachu, Head of Marketing at StocExpo, says, “As an internationally recognised platform and the largest global network of robotics for Inspection & Maintenance (I&M), we’re absolutely thrilled to have SPRINT Robotics' as StocExpo’s Innovation Partner.

“The Innovation Trail will be a must-visit for all and will promote the development, availability and application of robotics techniques in technical inspections, maintenance and operations. The introduction of this strategic partnership will help StocExpo attendees stay connected, informed, get involved and be part of the future.”

Tjibbe Bouma, Chairman of SPRINT Robotics will be speaking about the value that robotics for I&M can deliver to end-user organisations at the Tank Storage conference, on day 2 of the event.

Margaret Dunn, conference producer for the Tank Storage conference, says, “We’re looking forward to hearing from robotics companies and asset owners first-hand who are pioneering the use of innovative new technologies.

“Robotics are going to play a pivotal role in safe tank terminal operations in 2022. Terminal operators will be able to find out about a wide range of different robotics technologies during the dedicated conference stream, as well as hearing from key industry speakers from Navigator Terminals, Evos, VTTI, Odfjell, Alkion Terminals and many more.”

About SPRINT Robotics

The SPRINT Robotics Collaborative is an industry-driven initiative that promotes the development, availability and application of robotics techniques in technical inspections, maintenance and operation of capital-intensive infrastructure. Founded in 2015, SPRINT Robotics was launched by a number of large asset owners from the energy industry to encourage the worldwide use of robotics for inspection, cleaning and maintenance. SPRINT Robotics is a not-for-profit organization and has become an internationally recognized platform for I&M Robotics with a support base of nearly 100 organizations globally. The SPRINT Robotics vision is to achieve field use of robotics for Inspection & Maintenance (I&M) of capital-intensive infrastructure assets on a large scale to address immediate needs and long-term industry priorities. We connect end users with service and technology providers, creating the engine for acceleration in the realization of our vision. Our starting point is the value Robotics for I&M can deliver to end-user organizations. www.sprintrobotics.org
