Taipei, Taiwan --( TAITRA )-- It’s expected that by the time TaiSPO 2011 runs its course this April 27 to 30, it will break all the records in its 38 year history. This hot spot for sports and recreational equipment features 358 exhibiting companies who are using 1,753 booths across the NANGANG Exhibition Hall in Taipei.
TaiSPO 2011 ranks among Asia’s top two sporting goods show. That elevated status has won it points among the global industry to draw even more vendors and visitors to inspire and even broader profile.
The world of sporting equipment comes together at TaiSPO 2011 as it joins 64 overseas exhibitors in 199 booths from 11 countries including Germany (Hammer Sport), Italy (Rovera), Holland (Accell Fitness),South Korea (Any Fitness) Britain (Zotefoams), Malaysia (Swimfit Worldwide), China and Hong Kong. That an inspiring 38% and 83% growth in international exhibitors and booths respectively.
Meanwhile the all-star list of domestic exhibitors includes Johnson Corp, the world’s third largest fitness equipment manufacturer who exhibits along such renowned names as Dyco, JOONG CHENN, Strength Master and DK City.

Open door to trend setting innovative products
The winning line-up of exhibitor opens a rare showcase of quality products; a full menu of sporting goods from every facet of sports be it commercial use or in the home to fitness equipment, diving gear and sportswear.
Buyers can navigate their desired products among eight exhibit areas at the whole show which includes fitness equipment, outdoor sports, camping supplies, skiing & skating, snowboards & surfboards, water sports table games equipment, sporting balls, cycling accessories and sportswear. Fitness equipment, involves about 40% of the exhibiting companies or 70% of scale by booth counts. Most of them are located on the 4th floor NANGANG Exhibition Hall, while other sporting goods exhibitors are arranged across its show ground.
WFSGI Manufacturers Forum opens global trade dialogue
To many, the climax of TaiSPO will be on its opening day when the show kicks of the 3rd WFSGI Manufacturers Forum that joins key delegates from six nations to address major trade issues.
“Taiwan has become a vital global manufacturer of sporting goods, and with it, TaiSPO offers a leading and influential sporting goods trade hub,” said George Wood, honorable president of TSMA (The Taiwan Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association) and Deputy Chairman of WFSGI Manufacturers Forum.
On the podium will be speakers from international mega players such as Li-Ning, Sport 2000, and New Balance who address “Opportunities and Challenges in Supplying Global Brands and Retailers,” which is obviously a hot concern of OEM/ODM-based Taiwan manufactures.
Those concerns interested in shifting from OEM/ODM to OBM, will be interested in hearing the Vice President of Johnson Health Tech, Daniel Clayton, share Johnson’s story on building an world-famous international brand from the ground up.
